The world is bursting at the seams with "Best Mum in the World's" and this one is the very "Bestest" of all!
Once again the most important trip this year is behind us. She is still lovely, wonderful and as hardy as they come. Just can no longer walk without a Zimmer Frame, and that only for short distances.
Would you believe she is 104. Claims she has gone to the Fairies, which is true, but still in our world some of the time. Love you dearly Mum. 😘
She keeps insisting that my Bro and I don't pop off before she does. We have pointed out that with one of us at 73 and the other at 67 (better add a "nearly" to the 67 or get into trouble), this could be a quite difficult undertaking.
22nd February thru early April Lofoten and Tromsø for the Aurora again. Hoping of course not to have any repeat catastrophes. We shall see. All went well had a great trip despite very little of the Aurora. Met some very interesting folks.
End of April attended a 1x Photo Meet in Dordrecht for two days. Was pleasantly surprised and met some great folks once again.
Straight after Dordrecht shot across to England to pay the "Bestest" of all! a visit.
Between the Norway trip and the next longer one will be out and about in the Caddy hunting for images. With a meet up in between with the Cardiff folks near Passau in Germany end June early July. Looking forward to that. Didn't happen due to unexpected interruption.
This was the point in time where the adage "best laid plans of mice and men" kicked in and everything went tits up.
Mid August thru Mid October autumn in Norway again. Cancelled.
Revision 1. Will go to Scotland in the Highlands instead and be back mid September to take in the Photokina.
Took in most of the UK with this trip and was enjoyable but not the best.
Revision 2. Romania now coming into play. All very vague at present.
Revision 3. Romania is happening. All booked up and ready to go. Takes place between 27.09 and 02.10. Excited about this.
The Romania trip was great, met some wonderful folks and already planning for an extended tour next autumn.
Going on to spend a month up in the north of Germany with a run down the boarder with Poland into Dresden and maybe Görlitz again for what will be the final trip this year.
