Anyway the van is loaded, almost. Finishing touches today and a short trip to the gas station to put some air in the tyres in the hope that it will get me off the rims.
Early tomorrow its then time to hit the road. First stop Bad Doberan which is a little west of Rostock. Wednesday a visit to a specialist camera shoppe for which I have got the hots and onwards to 54° 17' 37.65" N 12° 26' 12.40" E which is about 35 kms northeast of Rostock on the Boden.
Many of the migratory bird are returning, or have already arrived so I'm hoping for some good opportunities. Will stay around there until the end of the week, or beginning of the next before setting off on the first leg of the trip. Head off along the coast to 54° 35' 47.42" N 18° 48' 45.52" E for a look see. After that down to Orle where Yuri's family (ancestral) used to own land and factories and things. She has asked for photos etc., so will see what we can do for her. It is a wee bit south west of Gdansk where we shall not spend much, if any, time as we spent a fair time there on our aborted Murmansk trip. Then we shall skirt around Kaliningradskaya to get back onto the Baltic coastline just North of it and from there on shall follow the coast line all of the way round until we get to Tallinn.
Check out the Travel tab for a basic map of the route.
That will be the end of the first leg. As and when I can get connected, internet, will post a short update and hopefully a couple of pictures.
