One more day to go to the end of January and it is a little over a month since I decided I fancied a go at all of this.
As some of you folks out there will have noticed, and commented, it has been a slow process. One reason for this is to be found in the Header text of my Home Page. The other, and I like to think main reason, is that having done a wee bit of research I found out to my dismay that it is not just as simple as I would have wished.
As the site is really only about photography, my snaps as it were, I found out that to try and present them in a form that does not distract from them even whilst perhaps not enhancing them, that I have quite a large amount of re-processing to do to make them Web friendly. Hence my plodding progress.
I have tried to incorporate most of the initial comments I received from folks. Posted pics have a number, no description. Really am too idle to, and un-imaginative, to think up so many. So in case anyone wishes to comment a reference is there.. I have not dared to go down the one avenue suggested of giving comments another colour text. Nearly had a nervous breakdown just trying to find out how to change the site background colour to a more photography friendly one. And having found out how it took me another few days to pluck up the courage to execute the command. So that one can wait. Unless of course one of you out there belong to the clever s.ds amongst us mortals and can let me know how!
I am thinking adding a post to the blog every time new pics get posted just stating in which slot they have been posted. Any comments on that?
As may have been noticed each gallery slot has a comment field and have been wondering if that is not a slight case of over kill. Any feed back? My other, and I think more sensible, idea is as all photographs posted have an ID number folks wishing to comment could probably better do so on the Blog page!>
The ID numbers do not at present appear in the Slideshow as these were amongst the first posted. I'll get there.
Also I have been called to task as not all of the Gallery slots have content yet. This will take place in due course as I am not re-editing in relation to the slot headings.
Some folks my remember that during my Oman stay at the end of 2010 and early 2011 that I spent a lot of effort into trying to put together a Mosque Portfolio. Well I am the proud, ?, owner of 6,632 image of which 314 have slipped into the "Selected" folder and are pre-processed. note the "pre". They will be completed, honest, just do not hold your breath!!!
Finally for this post we have a couple of major events coming up in February, one of us is going to hit the Ton and the other is getting spliced. I shall be taking lottsa pics and will post them, a lot quicker than my Mosque attempts. They will be on two separate slots , with ID's. The slots will be password protected as they are family affairs. If I remember I'll let you have them. Any of you wanting copies just let me have the ID and I will make sure you get them.
