PPR-18

10/3/2016

Woke up late to surprise surprise, clouds, and a quick check of weather and aurora forecasts, you guessed shit, and big shit. In reverse order the weather one is the worst.

Anyway before I set about my day below are the dismal results of yesterday evenings jaunt. Anyone who has experienced them live will heartily concur, specially No. 1 thingummy. Guess we were really lucky that trip boyo, especially the one we were treated to on the way from the Airport after I had picked you up. Guess beggars can't be choosers this trip.

For what they are worth, at least it shows there is some point behind the jaunt. Oh I've made them clickable so you have the pleasure of viewing shitty picks in larger format. Kind too you am I not?
Oh joys, a first this trip. It is pouring with rain now.🌧🌧🌧
Ho well can use the chance to charge up batteries and clean my sensors. While processing yesterdays images I noticed I had mega amounts of dust on them. Another lesson learned, as they loved to say in my previous life. Change lenses as little as possible when in a dusty camper van after three weeks on the road.
Don't get too much chance to clean and polish the thing.
Suppose the same lesson might apply to sensor cleaning in a dusty......?🚫
We shall see. Later.

Later it is. Not moved the van all day just too much stuff to do on keeping the gear up to scratch and cared for. All sensors clean as are lenses and batteries all at 100%. They lose their charge pretty quick up here.

Otherwise what is new. Nothing really, long term forecast for a week is rain/snow so I've decided to take one camera and one lens a day and see what I can make out of them that way.

Am trying something new. I take part in a photography site which goes under the name of 1x.com and they have offered me a trail Portfolio site free of charge for a month to see if I want to stay on it permanently. All I have to test it with from here are the images I'm making daily so have posted some of them. No further edits than the rough ones made on the go here but the quality of their reproduction (resolution) is I find quite impressive. The reason being I can upload better quality in size and resolution myself as opposed to the restrictions made by this site.

Have a look and see what you think. Like to hear some feedback before the month is over and I have to start paying for the pleasure.
